Copper & Silver Enameled Pendants & Earrings:
Glass ground down to a fine sand consistency then either sifted or mixed with distilled water and painted onto the surface of the metal. It is then placed in a kiln on high until the enamel melts and fuses to the metal.
Enameling developed in many different countries. The oldest known is 6 Cloisonné rings found in Cyprus dating back to 1300BC.
I use several techniques. I started with cloisonné, painted copper, and scriffito.
